Chanel is one of the biggest fashion houses and of course, it is difficult to watch her defile.
It was impossible for me to get an invitation but I wanted to see the people that would watch it and their clothes.
It’s worthy to note that Chanel made two defiles with an interval of one hour since there were many guests.
So on the morning of July 2nd, I was out of the Grand Palais to take photos of the guests, who began to arrive with the necessary for their entry white invitation in the hands.
Most of them were dressed in clothes for the current season, meaning that there was enough Egyptian influence with high doses of gold.
There were many photographers in order to take a photo of the people of the fashion industry, who were coming in the round library of the building in order to watch the defile.
I was impressed by the fact that a large proportion of them were of Asian origin, which also shows the orientation of the fashion houses.
I noticed that the European guests had chosen to wear the most classic creations of Chanel while the Asians were the most advanced ones.
The defile, as I later saw, was very interesting, as Virginie Viard had paid tribute to Coco and Karl. The result was a collection of tweedy, short jackets, suits and pearls.
Of course, there was also the piece of the collection that represented the designer with a female mini and maxi chiffon pleated dresses, with bows and fancy fabrics.
The highlighted rounded shoulders were among the strong features of the collection. The shoes were very simple, most of them, in black or black-white with bows.
Those are the photos I shot out of the Grand Palais.
