The footwear trade show MICAM, took place on 13-15 March at the Fiera Milano exhibition centre in Rho, near Milan.
As a result of the pandemic, Micam coincided with handbag and accessory fare Mipel, the Homi Fashion, the Jewels exhibition and men’s and women's wear trade show The One Milano.
A total of 29,468 visitors attended the five-day events (visitors from Italy and abroad were equal).

Micam ran over three days – where almost 821 brands exhibited, not to bad!
The fair was smaller and missing exhibitors and visitors from Asia, Russia, North America but it was busy with Italian and other European Union-based visitors.
The event was not an easy one for 3 reasons.
First of the result of the pandemic crisis, second for the postponed of the show that it was too late in the season for many customers and third the Russia's invasion of Ukraine had affected attendance at Micam.

A special exhibition area was MICAM Green Zone, which it was a wellspring of new ideas and provided a number of initiatives centring on social and environmental sustainability in footwear manufacturing.

One of my favorite place was Pavilion1 that hosted the MICAM X area, (a laboratory for innovative ideas, offering meetings, Seminars and presentations held every day) and the12 Emerging Designers from Italy and Europe that showed a selection of their concepts to the trade fair and recount their creative stories.

The next edition of Micam will be held on 18-21 September 2022 and I can’t wait to visit it.
